SALVATION ARMY

GETS SHINKLE HOME

Mrs. Bradford Shinkle has presented the Shinkle homestead, on East Second-st., to the Salvation Army, as a home for young women they rescue and who ar without home, and for the old people who come under their care.

The Salvation Army has accepted the gift and will shortly take possession of it. Much of the furniture goes with the home.

Mrs. Shinkle offered it to the city for a Young Women's Christian Association, to be used as a home for working girls, a much needed institution in this city, but the gift was refused, as it seemed impossible to raise the funds to keep such an institution. The Salvation Army most rapidly accepted gift, and is preparing occupy it very shortly.
