FACTORY IS SOLD. C. H. Brownwell Buys Peru Electric Manufacturing Co.'s Plant. The plant of the Peru Electric Manufacturing Co., of this city, was knocked down to the highest bidder Thursday at receiver's sale. Charles H. Brownwell bought the industry for $25,000 which is about $15,000 less than the actual indebtedness of the concern. Mr. Brownwell was the heaviest creditor the sum due him being $24,000. For some time that factory has been operated under the management of C. G. Burton, receiver, and he will continue in this capacity until the sale to Mr. Brownwell is approved by the Circuit Court. |
