FUNERAL SERVICE TO BE WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis P. Matthews, 67, of 709 E. High st., will be conducted in the residence at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, in charge of the Rev. Ross Miller, Ph. D., pastor Covenant Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Matthews died unexpectedly in her home at 11 a.m., Monday, of a heart attack. The body was returned to the residence from the Richards Memorial Home, Monday night. The former Mabel Thomas, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John H. Thomas, she was wed on Dec. 5, 1901, in Springfield. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Survivors include the husband and a son, Thomas A. of Chicago, Ill. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. |
