Bradford Shinkle, Jr., entertained a few friends with a merry card party on Friday evening at his home, on East Second Street. The tally cards were pretty hand-painted affairs, bearing an appropriate verse. At the conclusion of a very jolly game, trophies were presented to Miss Eleanor Grant, Sam Finnell, and John Warner. Mrs. Frank Cross assisted in extending the courtesies of the evening. The guests included Misses Dorothy Abbott, Eleanor Grant, Virginia Martin, Verner Curry, Kearns Worthington, Marguerite Ernst, Messrs. Sam Finnell, John Warner, Chester, Eaton, Bayard Thompson, and Jules Grant.
