The Hemingray Glass Company, formerly one of the largest manufacturers of this city, but which some years ago was removed to Muncie, Ind., in order to obtain the advantages of natural gas and railroad shipping facilities, is negotiating with real estate owners in this city with a view of again removing its plant to this city if it receives any inducements from the city and taxpayers to return here.

A survey of property is being made in the neighborhood of Seventh and Russell streets, just south of the Overman and Schrader Cordage Company's works, adjacent to the C. and O. Railroad, where the best of shipping facilities can be had.
