MUNCIE, Ind., June 30. - Several days ago 26 boys at Hemingray's glass works struck for an increase of wages from [dollar: 60 cents to [dollar: 75 cents per day. Their demand was refused, but they caused the fruit jar department of the works to be shut down for the season, a month earlier than the company intended. The fruit jar business this season is very profitable and the company will lose heavily on account of the strike.
