Bagg of the Republican organization of the City of New York, known better as the Brookfield faction of the Republican party, which held a meeting at 1,556 Broadway, Manhattan, last night, made known the chairman of the three committees of five which he was authorized to appoint. The committee on permanent organization and the selection of permanent headquarters will have for its chairman Thomas J. Humphrey. H.W. Roseborn will be chairman of the committee to issue an address to the people of New York, and E.D. Trager will be chairman of the committee to fill vacancies in the organization. At the meeting last night Mr. Bagg said to-day that representation from thirty of the thirty-five Assembly districts were present and two other districts sent letters offering assistance. Mr. Bagg said that organizations will be perfected in all the Assembly districts before the mayoralty campaign. Resolutions were past last night offering co-operation with the Committee of Fifty in the cleansing of the city and the restoration of the good name of the city. In the address to the people which will be issued it is the purpose to set forth that the organization advocates the selection of a candidate for Mayor, no matter what his politics may be, who, if elected, will give to the city an efficient, honest and businesslike administration.
