The Ball Bros. Glass Mfg. Co.'s immense plant at Muncie, Ind., closed down on Saturday at midnight and will remain idle until Aug. 1. During the shutdown a large force of workmen will be engaged in making summer repairs and improvements, the company having decided to expend a large amount of money for the same. Owing to the present heavy volume of business the Hemingray glass factory will be closed for only three weeks, and one furnace will be kept in operation during this time.
