Porcelain Covered Insulator Pin. The cross section view reproduced herewith shows the form of multiglazed insulator designed by Mr. J. W. Boch, and described in the issue of The Electrical World of March 26, combined with a porcelain sleeve which runs down about the insulator pin through the cross arms, thus increasing the distance over which the discharge must follow to reach a material of lower resistance. This combination was patented March 22, 1898.

Researcher notes: | The Boch insulator U-928 is well known but no specimens of the porcelain pin have ever been found. The long sleeve is attained by extending the inner skirt as with U-944 and U-945. |
