Mr. Thomas C. Smith, of Brooklyn, N. Y., one of the largest manufacturers of New York state, arrived here yesterday from the flourishing young city of Tallapoosa, GA, where he has large interests.
Mr. Smith is president of the Seventeenth Ward National bank of Brooklyn, N. Y., owner of the Union Porcelain works of that city, and for twenty years has acted as president of the New York Ophthalmic hospital.
He leaves for his home this evening. During his brief stay he will be the guest of Colonel A. J. McBride and Russel C. Johnson.
