OPENING OF SUPERIOR COURT
Large Attendance of Local Lawyers
First Cases Taken Up
The opening of the superior court's October civil sitting in Pittsfield yesterday brought out a very large attendance of lawyers from all over the county, due to the announcement that the full docket of cases would be read.

The first hour or two of the afternoon session was taken up with an argument on the admission of an amendment to the declaration of the plaintiff in the case of Samuel Oakman against William B. Baldwin and R. A. Burget. This case grows out of the failure of the Oakman Manufacturing company of Cheshire.
