A New Porcelain Insulator.
The accompanying cut illustrates a porcelain insulator of new design. The slot around the base of the insulator, inclining downwards, effectively prevents a line of moisture covering the insulator from the conductor to the supporting base. These insulators are highly glazed, have a countersunk base, and are spoken of very highly by those who have used them. They are being placed on the market by the Central Electric Company, of Chicago.
