· · There was a report in circulation in Brooklyn that the Brookfield Glass Co. was going to remove the insulator department of their plant to Passaic, N.J. In speaking of the matter, Mr. Harry Brookfield said that they had never contemplated moving any part of their plant and he was surprised to know that such a story was in circulation. He said that for some time past their business had gown to such an extent that if they had the room they would operate a plant nearly twice the capacity of the present plant, and that they might some time build in another location, but that the Brooklyn plant would never be moved from its present location. They are making a good season's run and have all the business they can handle. The blowers all report a good season's work and claim they are making money at the present time are looking forward to the time when the fires will go out and they can go on their different excursions. · · |
