The G. S. A. Line Wire Holder.


Illustrations show three types of an improved "Tie.... for telegraph or electric light and power lines, to ....lines may be easily applied or released, greatly aiding the work of the linemen. Figs. 1 and 2 are for telegraph and telephone work, Fig. 3 for light or railway line wire.

Standard insulators are used with this invention, ....consists of a neck band sprung into an annular.... the insulators, a U-shaped lever pivoted to said.... and provided with eyes, and a fastening bail or link that is pivoted to said eyes and provided with a bent or hook shaped portion for engaging the line wire, said bent portion pressing the wire, when the lever is swung in a downward direction, into the annular groove of the insulator, so that the rounded end of the bail forms a continuation of the neck band, in which portion the line wire is firmly locked to the insulator. It is stated that this device can be applied to or detached from the insulator with great facility, and that its strength, reliability and inexpensiveness are the principal points of recommendation in its favor. The inventor is Mr. G. Sacco Alabanese, of Lynn, Mass., formerly of Orange, Mass.
