New Knowles Cleat. A new porcelain cleat possessing several important features has recently been placed on the market by C. S Knowles, 7 Arch St., Boston, Mass. The cleats are made of the best porcelain and in such a way that the cleats are of an even and uniform size and shape. The cleat is in two parts, both parts exactly alike, so that so long as there is more than one piece left there is a complete cleat. All annoyance attending the sorting of pieces is thus avoided.
The cleat is durable, being well made and saves a large amount of trouble. The corrugated grooves hold the wire firmly and safely. The use of a porcelain for fastening electric light wires, and especially of porcelains that hold the wire out from the wall or ceiling is to be commended. This cleat possesses these advantages, making its use desirable when a more perfect insulation is desired. |
