Mrs. Thad Neely Entertains in Honor

of Her Guest, Miss Lucy Hitch.


A pleasant company of young people were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thad Neely, 331 east Main street last evening. The party was given in honor of Mrs. Neely's guest, Miss Lucy Hitch of Springfield, Ill., and her niece, Miss Mary Weirman, who has been making her home with Mrs. Neely for sometime, but who will soon return to her home in Pennsylvania. The company was composed of two different crowds of young people, one considerably younger than the other, but is was a very congenial company and the occasion a very happy one.

The house was handsomely decorated with flowers and plants in honor of the occasion, smilax and geraniums being conspicuous in parts of the house. Dancing and games of various kinds were indulged in and greatly enjoyed by all. Elegant refreshments were served in the dining room which was decorated with a variety of beautiful flowers. Those present were: Misses Cora Emerson, Freddie Smith, Nellie Wright, Edith Kirby, and Ettie Thompson. The Misses Hemingray, Vedie Cassady, Reba Richey, Rhue Dungan, Cliff Bower, Lois Love, Edith King, Sarah Kirby, Maude Nealy, Helen Smith. Ed Galliher, Norwood Carns, Arthur Helm, Herbie Maddy, Elliott Wilson, Allie McMillen, Artie King, Albert Martin, Albert Richoy, Arthur Cassady, Walter Howe, Neddie James, and Bert Ream.
