REBUILDING.

The Glass Works Recently Burned are

Being Rebuilt.

The window glass works of C. H. Over & Co. that were recently burned away will soon be replaced by larger and more substantial structures. The material is fast being placed on the ground and the buildings will appear again in almost as brief a time as they were swept away. The new structures will be a great improvement over the old. They will be almost fireproof. Besides being much larger they will be more convenient. The buildings and furnaces will be ready for operation next September, and the blowers have been instructed to report for duty at that time. About fifty mechanics are at work on the factory, and the L. E. & W. belt line is laying a new switch 1,200 feel long for the factory. The main building will be 120 by 270 feet; the ware room 84 by 100, two stories high; mixing room, 40 by 80; box factory, 40 by 60. Besides these there will be cutting rooms, packing room, sand room, and material room, all built of corrugated iron.

A large force of men are also at work on the new building for the Hemingray factory, the dimensions of which were given in a previous issue. The burnt district presents a busy appearance.
