INSULATORS AND INSULATOR PINS.

The triple petticoat insulator shown in the accompanying illustration is a glass insulator for potential up to 20,000 volts, and one very extensively used on high voltage transmission lines. Fig. 1 shows a steel insulator pin with a porcelain base, also used on high voltage power transmission lines. In Fig. 1 is shown a four-pin upright galvanized side bracket for attaching to the sides of buildings to support lines and at the same time to insure good insulation. The above insulator [Fig. 3] and pins are made by Fred. M. Locke, Victor, N. Y., manufacturer of insulators in glass and porcelain for all electrical purposes.
