MISS HEMINGRAY ENTERTAINS.
The first private party to be given at the home of the Country club was given there this morning to a party of young ladies by Miss Carroll Hemingray in honor of her guest, Miss Strong of Terre Haute. The time was spent at progressive euchre, there being enough present to fill five tables. Three prizes were given. Mrs. Piatt of Covington, Ky., won the first prize — a small clock; Miss Clifford Bower, the second prize — a letter receptacle in china, and Miss Vida Cassady, the third — a Wedgewood pitcher. The prize for the most lone hands, a picture frame, was won by Mrs. Du Val Brown. At the conclusion of the series of games a luncheon in three courses was served. Miss Anne Evans Evans and Miss Florence Ream attended the score cards. Those present were: Mrs. Du Val Brown, Mrs. Rush Evans, Mrs. Clifford Cobb, Mrs. Piatt of Covington, Miss Doherty of Washington C. H., O., Misses Cora Emerson, Helen Hickman, Louise Anthony, Fannie Turner, Vida Cassady, Reba Richey, Etta Thompson, Erna Eiler, Jeannett Gass, Clifford Bower, Emma Case, Eva Winchester, Clarissa Koons, Miss Fanchion Moffett of Hartford City, Miss Winchester's guest, Miss Taylor of Indianapolis, Miss Koons' guest, Miss Saunders of Lebanon, O., Miss Cobb's guest, and Miss Strong of Terre Haute, in honor of whom the party was given. |
