ARE STILL HAMPERED.

Muncie Glass Factories in Need of Boy

Helpers.

The glass factories of Muncie continue to be hampered in their work by a lack of boys available to do the small work of the plants. Those that are now employed receive in some instances nearly double the wages formerly paid to this class of help. The manufacturers would like to get more at the same price. One local factory is paying nineteen men at the rate of $1.35 a day to do work that could be done by boys at the rate of $3.50 to $6 a week. The Muncie Glass company, Hemingrays, and Ball Bros. have suffered most seriously from the lack. Nearly all the Muncie Glass factories are in need of boy help and several are hiring men to do the work of boys.
