A MUNCIE CLUB EVENT.


The Second Guest Night of the Season

Celebrated Last evening.


Last night the Muncie club at its quarters in the Johnson, gave its second "ladies' night" event of the season. The suite of rooms was decorated elegantly with oriental draperies, palms, vines, holly, and evergreen. Signor Maroni, the Indianapolis harpist, furnished music throughout the evening. A luncheon in three courses was served under the direction of Caterer Hummell. Cards and dancing formed the principal amusements. In the progressive pedro contest, favors were secured by Miss Hudie Smith, Mr. Will Meyers, Miss Reid, and Mr. Will Hendrick, the first two winning first prizes and the latter two the second prizes. A piece of statuary was the first prize for the ladies and an ivory billiard cue the first for gentlemen. The guests were Miss Huber of Indianapolis; the guest of Miss Nettie Gass, Miss Smith of Fostoria, the guest of Miss Grace Johnson; Miss LaForce of Bedford, who is visiting Miss Helen Hickman. Miss Marian Reed [sic] Reid of Rochester, the guest of Miss Hemingray; Misses Florence McNaughton, Sue Smith, Clara Gill, Fannie Turner, Emily Olcott, Isabella Preston, Mayme Johnson, Grace Johnson, Agnes Howe, Hudie Smith, Nettie Gass, Helen Hickman, Marie Norvell, Kathaleen Fay, Edna Boyce, Imogene Medsker, Messrs. Xenia Smith, Walter Howe, Fred Georgia, Charles Grafton, Clifford Taylor, John Sprowl, John McNaughton, Karl Oesterle, Wilbur Sutton, Will Hendrick, Robert Walker, Lloyd Kimbrough, Fred Jones, Will Meyers, Fred Lesh, Walter Nichols, and Frank Kimbrough. The committee on arrangements consisted of Messrs. John McNaughton, Charles Grafton, Will Hendrick, and Karl Oesterle.
