Thomas China has commenced operations

The latest new pottery is at Lisbon, Ohio. It is the Thomas China Co. It will have offices and sample rooms at both Lisbon and East Liverpool. It is an up-to-date plant in all its appointments. W. F. Keates is general manager, and A. G. Mason office and business manager. They have already commenced on clay, and expect to have ware ready for market about the 15th or 20th of next month. They have molds for one dinner and two toilets, also designs for two more dinners which will be the highest priced on the American market. They will only make the highest grade of goods — strictly semi-vitreous porcelain. Their decorator will be Colin Evans, a distinguished flower painter and sketcher. The purpose of the managers is to make the Thomas China Co. second to none in this country.
