Eminent Engineer May Be Dean of
Smith College
Henry Floy of East Orange, N. J., with offices in New York, one of the best known consulting engineers in the country, who was in this city yesterday to confer with Chancellor Day and the committee of the board of trustees regarding his appointment as Dean of the College of Applied Science, left last evening for New York, having looked over the situation here. No definite arrangements have been made but it is understood that Mr. Floy will continue the negotiations from his New York office. He conferred with the Chancellor yesterday. Chancellor Day when asked concerning the matter last evening said that Mr. Floy had not yet met the committee and that no definite arrangements regarding his accepting the position at the university had been made.
