JAMES H. BROOKFIELD.

 

Retired New York Manufacturer Died at His Home in Montego Bay.

James H. Brookfield, who was a manufacturer in this city twenty-five years ago, died Monday at his Winter home at Montego Bay, Jamaica, West Indies. He was about fifty-three years old and is survived by his widow, Elizabeth McGuire Brookfield, and two brothers, Henry M. and Frank, of this city. For the last twelve years Mr. Brookfield had lived abroad.

He was a son of the late William Brookfield, a pioneer maker of plate glass. He was a graduate of Yale, and a member of the New York Yacht Club and the Veterans of Squadron A.
