FACTORIES.

S.C. Topping, of Houston, Tex., was in Pittsburgh last week looking after machinery and workers for a glass plant now being built in this city. They expect to make fruit jars, bottles and a variety of pressed and blown ware. They will use Texas oil for fuel, costing twenty-five cents a barrel. A combination tank with covered pots in one end is to be used. This is reported to be the first glass factory in Texas.
