BUSINESS BRIEFS.
Negotiations are said to have been closed whereby Toledo, O., is to become the scene of a large glass factory, covering thirty-three acres of ground and employing about 500 men. The proposed concern is to manufacture insulators, breakers, and other glass specialties. In connection with the works, says the Toledo Bee, an extensive sand quarry will be operated, probaly near Sylvania, three and a half miles from the site of the factory. The property likely to be occupied by the factory lies one mile from the city limits of Toledo. The purchase price is said to have been $10,000 and the construction of the building, it is reported, will cost $70,000 more.
