A fire which threatened the destruction of the Bushwick glass works, owned by William Brookfield, at Grand street and Morgan avenue, Brooklyn, broke out early last Monday Morning, but an alarm being promptly turned in was soon subdued. The building in which the fire occured is a one story brick, connecting with the main plant, and a large body of fireman was stationed around it to prevent the flames from reaching it. How the fire started is a mystery. An hour before the night watchman had passed through the building and everything seemed secure against a blaze.
