COMPANY TO MAKE GLASS
Local Climate Gives Advantage Over
Eastern Conditions
On account of the adaptability of the climate of Southern California to the manufacture of glass, a company was organized by Los Angeles business men to turn out glass insulators. The company expects to run throughout the year, which is not possible in the east on account of the heat.
One hundred and fifty men will be employed at the start. It is proposed to manufacture also prism sidewalk lights, cut glass, electric light shades and incandescent globes.
Following are the officers: Julius Kauffmann, president; E. H. Fosdick, vice president; John Morris, treasurer; Stanley S. Stonaker, secretary, and Robert P. Frisk, general manager.
