TO DOUBLE ITS CAPACITY
Force of Glass Insulator Company
Will Be Increased
To more than double the producing capacity of its plant by the addition of sixty men to its present force of forty men and to work day and night forces, is understood to be the plan of the California Glass Insulator Company, whose big plant is located close to the easterly boundary of the Dominguez Harbor Tract, within a short distance of the harbor waters and half way between Long Beach and Wilmington. Officials of the company say that the company can purchase its raw material from the vicinity of Colton cheaper than the raw materials can be bought in New Jersey and finished there.
Tomorrow there will be a large party of Pasadena people at the Dominguez Harbor Tract as the guests of the F. P. Newport Company, sales agent for the tract. The train leaves Pasadena at 9 a. m. Saturday the Newport Company takes a special excursion train load of Los Angeles people from the Pacific Electric Station at Sixth and Los Angeles streets at 10 o’clock, and Sunday, at the same hour and from the same place, the company will take another train load of people to the tract, to view the property and to see the industries immediately surrounding it.
