If the exhibition of Ginori ware which Henry Creange is making were in a museum it would attract crowds. Some of the productions are little short of the marvelous, and all are on the highest artistic plane. The white and gold is particularly fine. One design has a very narrow band of heavily matted gold, perfectly plain, with a delicate hair line on the shoulder of the plate. Its simplicity is beautiful. Another has a double band of gold with a heavy black line between. It is the blackest black we have ever seen on pottery, and the effect is excellent. The colors, where used, are remarkable for their brilliancy, even when shadowy effects are obtained. There is one pattern of the Louis XV period which is a gem. It is so striking that every visitor to the wareroom stops to inspect it.
