The Turners, Throwers and Handlers Union is making a strenuous effort to better the condition of those engaged in electrical work. In a great many cases unskilled labor has been used in this branch, with the consequent lowering of wages. It is also claimed that men are frequently discharged who belong to the union and are replaced by non-union men for less money.
