Site Purchased for Larger Plant.

According to reports from California, the California Glass Insulator Co., of Long Beach, has secured a site for a larger factory at Torrance, a new industrial town near Los Angeles, where the manufacture of preserving jars will be added to the turning out of insulators. In its issue of November 2nd, the Los Angeles "Examiner" says:

"Announcement is made that the California Glass Insulator Co., now located at Long Beach, will move to Torrance. Negotiations which have been going forward for some time have just been completed by the purchase of a site by the glass company, whose plans are said to call for a modern factory structure 100 x 300 feet. It is not stated whether the Long Beach plant will be continued or abandoned. At present the company employs about 75 workmen, but at Torrance, it is stated, the force may be increased to 300."
