The passenger steamers carried heavy loads both, in and out to-day, the increased traffic no doubt being due to the extreme heat of the day on land.
The Brig Rover cleared this morning for the lake shore.
The schr Albercore arrived this morning with 650 tons hard coal for the Conger Company.
The schr Van Straubenzee cleared this afternoon for Oswego.
The schr Flora Carveth arrived this afternoon from Oswego, with 390 tons of sand for the Diamond Glass Works.
The schr Wm. A. Booth came in from Kingston, and left again for the same place this evening.
The prop Arcadia arrived this morning from Cleveland, and cleared again for Montreal.
