Indiana Manufacturers Object to Proposed Bill.

Indiana glass manufacturers representing a weekly payroll of about $80,000 were last week given a hearing at Indianapolis during a joint meeting of the house and senate committees on labor to register their objections to Senator Hugg's child labor bill. The glass men have found several objectionable features to the bill. Their principal contention is that the bill will prevent boys under 16 years of age from working in the glass factories at night. Ralph Hemingray and Edward Ball, both of Muncie, appeared before the committee to argue against the bill. George A. Shideler, of Marion, and John L. Thompson, of Gas City, also spoke against the bill.
