The grand jury on yesterday afternoon completed its business for this term after being in session all day, and after rendering the following indictments adjourned: Andy Cummings, house-breaking; George W. Sickles, having burglars' tools in his possession; Orville Phillips, cutting in sudden heat and passion; city of Covington, nuisance; Charles Morgan, keeping a tippling house; John Zuborg and Charles Casey, same offense; Theodore Burger and John Sleet, nuisance. The case of Mary Cross was investigated and dismissed after a full hearing of the testimony. The prosecution also failed to make out a case against Thos. Higgins, who was charged with relieving a man of $100 while on a spree, part of the money being subsequently refunded. He was dismissed. The case of J. O'Neal, Jas Key, P. Sullivan, J. Kinney, and J. Callahan were referred to the next grand jury.
