Mrs. Henry Bruce, superintendent of dinner and supper department, must be pleased to see the kindly response from the citizens. She invited the whole of Covington to come. Compliment the managers by partaking of some meal during the festive occasion. Mrs. B. acknowledges donations from the Co-operative Store, Mesdames Williams, Bishop, R. W. Hemingray, Sr., Hart, Prestow, Mary Dudley, Wickermayer, Mrs. Wilcox, as usual, fortunate in her donations; flour from Keifer Flour Mills; Mrs. Amos Shinkle secured a splendid donation from Mr. Feltman for Tobacco Booth, viz. "Red Bird" brand worth $3; Mrs. McDonnold will report her generous donors soon; Mrs. Shinkle also reported milk to be given each day by Mr. Collins.

Mrs. Craighead reported the handsome donation of $5 from Mrs. Dr. T. N. Wise, roast of beef from Mr. Schlosser, and contributes herself one-half dozen cocoanut pies, potatoes, &c. The following ladies have given edibles: Mesdames Keith, Wm. Ernst, W. G. Morris, Hamilton, R. T. Miller, Val Collins, Bailey, Bradley, Joedell, Mansen, Spirrow, Ward, Bruce, and Sayres. Mrs. James Tranter gave five dozen biscuits and pies, Miss Ingram, salads, Messrs. Goeble and Peebles, ham, Mrs. Barlett, crackers, Mesdames Lee, Perkins, and Sullivan, donations to Mrs. Collins. Mrs. Dr. Henderson presented the liberal donation of caterer Lehman, viz: use of linen, tableware, cutlery, tables, one hundred oyster patties for the generous sum of only the gratitude and thanks of the ladies, which was given and accepted enthusiastically. Mrs. Laidly reported the handsome donations of $5 from Mrs. Wm. Perkins, and generous donations from Mesdames Farmer, Dickerson, and Mr. Nodler. This latter gentleman we know will loan us a lamp to illuminate our reportorial table. Mrs. Balridge, we regret to state (who is one of the managers) is quite ill, but has remembered the Festival with donations. Mr. Horner gave one gallon of molasses to the home made candy stand. Mrs. Wm. A. Crawford will send bread, rolls, and pickles. The Emporium received six shoe and darning bags made by Mrs. Wm. Ernst and Mrs. Colville. Mr. G. R. Sortley to Mrs. Henderson, one dozen cans of corn.

The ladies will be kind enough to give me any names omitted. Misses Tarvin, Phillips, and Gosborn have offered to aid the ladies. Mrs. Brenckman, who is an excellent worker, contributes. Misses Blackburn, Daisy Wayne, Mattie Morse, are dressing dolls for the emporium. The most kindly feeling exists and every heart seems busily engaged in trying to help not only their department but with generous words and acts endeavor to make the festival a success. May God bless the united efforts to not only care for the temporal welfare of those homeless children, but perhaps a soul may be saved.
