Suspended Factories.

 

WHEELING, W. Va., Dec. 15. — Every tableware, lamp chimney, and general glass manufacturing house in Bellaire, Martin's Ferry, and Bridgeport, pulled its bars Saturday for an indefinite period. This act makes final and fixed the strike that has been impending for weeks. It throws out 1,250 employees, taking between $50,000 and . . . [illegible text] . . ., the fortnightly pay, out of circulation in the three cities named and directly affects nearly 7,000 people.
