A regular meeting of the City Council of Covington, Ky., was held in Council Chamber Thursday evening, Aug. 21, 1884, President Coflin in the chair and all the members present except Messrs. Grubbs, McCourt, Gahan, Mackoy, and Cleary.

Minutes of last meeting read and approved.

The matter of giving privilege of laying pipes to two natural gas companies which was made a special order for this meeting was called up. The Law Committee, to whom the ordinances were referred, reported that there was no objection in their opinion to the passing of the ordinances. Report concurred in and ordinances passed.

Upon motion Council adjourned.
