Criminal Court.

 

August 19. — The grand jury this morning reported indictments against Henry Hamlin, house breaking and larceny; Jacob Free, malicious stabbing, and George Kearns, malicious shooting. They also reported a dismissal as to Joseph Rosell, of the case of Jacob Free and Joseph Rosell for the malicious cutting of Charley Morris at Bromley.

The case of August Smith, charged with shooting Joe Schlosser, was continued on account of the absence of the prosecuting witness. The defendant claims that the pistol went off accidentally.

The trial of the three men indicted this morning is set for Thursday.

The case of Mary Cross, on a peace warrant, is set for Friday.

The Joe Williams murder case will probably be called this afternoon.

The work of impaneling jurors was begun this morning, and up to noon, six had been chosen.
