Council Proceedings. OFFICIAL A regular meeting of the City Council of Covington, Ky., was held in Council Chamber Thursday evening, Aug. 14, 1884, President pro tem. Blakely in the chair and all the members present except Messrs. Cleary, Mackoy, Lemker, Gahan, and Jones and the President. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. President pro tem. Presented the bond of the Chief of the Fire Department, signed by W. B. Glore, and T. C. Wolking as surety, which was accepted, the amount of bond being $3,000. · · Same presented a report from the Committee on Law, to whom was referred an ordinance giving Robt. Hemingray, A. Murray, R. W. Dugan, J. L. Stephens, and R. G. Hemingray the privilege of laying pipes in the city of Covington for the purpose of conduction natural gas. They state that they are of the opinion that there is no objection to the granting of the privilege asked for. Laid over one week. · · Upon motion Council adjourned. Attest:L. J. BLAKELY, |
