The sale of the glass works at Sandwich, Mass., by the Electrical Glass Co., to Abram French & Co., of Boston, practically winds up the former organization, it is said. The Electrical Glass Co. controlled a number of patents, including a glass insulator, a glass conduit, and a glass globe for electric lights. Its capital was half a million of dollars. Not long ago Eben C. Milliken purchased a large block of the stock far below its par value, and was elected its treasurer. The old works of the Boston & Sandwich Co. were purchased for [dollar:$21,000], but for several reasons the company never commenced the manufacture of its specialties. The other day the glass works property was sold for [dollar:$7,000], and the Electrical Glass Co. will probably wind up its affairs. It is said that Mr. Milliken is interested with Abram French & Co. in the purchase, and that a company will be formed with a capital of [dollar:$75,000] for the manufacture of miscellaneous glassware.
