LOCAL NEWS.

A CONVOCATION of the pastors and messengers of the North Bend Association met at the Dry Creek Baptist Church Saturday, and ordained as deacons Messrs. William Allen and Warner Meeks. The ordination sermon was preached by Rev. J. S. Kirtley, of Petersburg, and delivered the charge to the church. The charge to the deacons was delivered by Rev. W. H. Felix, of this city.
