Anent the Bloom Jar. Tom Schollenberger, 5 N. Wabash avenue, who was recently appointed western representative of the Bloom Jar. Co., the new firm which has been organized for the purpose of manufacturing a patented glass jar for packers, has received word from David Bloom, of San Francisco, the organizer, that he will be in Chicago during the month of January for the purpose of giving personal supervision to the manufacture of the new product which has caused so much interest in the trade. Plants are to be established in both Indiana and Virginia, although at just whatpoints Mr. Schollenberger is unable to tell at the present time. "I am receiving dozens of letters every day regarding the jar," said Mr. Schollenberger, "and I am not surprised that a self-sealing jar which has stood every test is causing something of a sensation. The jar perfected by Mr. Bloom has been subjected to every test and has withstood them all in an admirable manner. I am very anxious to see manufacture start, for the advance orders I have received at this office alone would give the company an unusually good start." Mr. Schollenberger expects to see the preparations for manufacture to begin as soon as Mr. Bloom reaches the city next month. The latter recently made a flying eastern trip but is now in San Francisco again. |
