ACROSS THE BORDER.

Wallaceburg, Ont., April 22. — Several changes have been made here since my last report. The small tank has been changed from blue to amber and three hand shops put on. This means 18 more men put to work, thus employing all the idle men at this place.

Some of the men here have left the factory. Geo. Linn has taken up farming. He has had a farm for a number of years, but still worked at the trade. He will now devote his whole time to his rural interests.

Wm. Butterman, Roy Imminger, and Rudolph Burlage are also farming and are making a success of this line of work.

Wm. McMillin has purchased a farm and will spend the summer months on it.

Arthur Delorme has purchased the pool and billiard hall of Frank Hennigan and took over the business last week. Art has been casting longing eyes at this business for some time. We all hope he will make a success of it.

Branch No. 70 held a very successful ball on Easter Monday night. About 200 were present and enjoyed themselves tripping the light fantastic. The boys served a very dainty and appetizing lunch, looking after this feature themselves. — Cannuck.
