Across the Border.

Wallaceburg, Can., July 1. — At the Dominion Glass Co.'s local plant two more furnaces have been closed down. The machine furnace with two Owens machines closed down June 27 and the hand furnace with six blow shops and one hand machine on June 30.

They are still operating one furnace with one Owens machine and one hand machine and two clean iron shops. Another clean iron shop will likely be put on this week.

Executive Officer J. L. Laroux, of Montreal, paid us a flying visit recently.

Dan Jones and James Backus have gone into the laundry business here. We believe they will make it a go, as both are good hustlers. Dan Jones is formerly of Bellaire, O., and Backus is a local man. — Windsor.
