H. C. FRY'S GENEROUS ACT Rochester, Pa., Aug. 18. - All the employees of the H. C. Fry Glass Co. and the Beaver Valley Glass Co. were very much pleased to receive a check to the amount of week's wages as a present from H. C. Fry and the H. C. Fry Co. The above shows the disposition that Mr. Fry has manifested towards the workmen and he evinces a kindly interest and regard for the welfare of all of his employees. The members of Local Union No. 25 are certainly very grateful to Mr. Fry for the week's wages and the gift came at a very opportune time, the first part of the second week after the start of the fire, and judging from the expressions that were heard on every side the same may be said of all the employees at these plans.
The writer of this article is going to take the privilege of a Noah Webster and coin a new word. He hopes that "Fryism" will become contagious and become the custom throughout the confines of the American glass industry. The officers of Local Union No. 25 are Jos. McLaughlin, president; Chas. Loeffler, vice president; H. C. Kramer, financial secretary; Geo. Gadley, corresponding secretary. - Convention City. |
