IN THE SOUTH JERSEY DISTRICT.

Salem, N. J., May 7. - The amber tank at the Salem Glass Works went out of blast last Saturday night for the season. The large stock on hand was the cause. Outside of this affairs are about the same as on my last report.

Gayner's plant will operate until the end of the regular season.

At our last meeting the members of Branch No. 6 made arrangements for Labor's Memorial Day observance on May 24. The following committee was appointed to make arrangements: Wm. Penton, Gervas Stratton, Isaac Kline, Wm. Stiles and Wm. Fox.

The election of delegates to the Rochester, N. Y., convention showed the following winners: Wm. Loder, Edw. Wilson, Wm. Fox, John Eagen, Jesse Steelman, Wm. Main and Clinton Nelson.

State Federation delegates are Edwin Goslin, Gervais Stratton, Wm. Penton and Frank Summers.

Those who worked at the two idle furnaces who resided out of town have packed up and left. Those of us who live in the city are looking for a long summer vacation fishing and gunning. - Fort Mott.
