Glass Trade Happenings of Fifteen Years Ago are Chronicled
The factory being built on this date fifteen years ago by George W. Burkhart, of Detroit, Mich., at Kingsville, Ont., was to be finished about October 1, 1899, and was known as the Ontario Glass Co., Ltd., making a general line of bottles, jars, insulators, etc. The plant consisted of a six-ring light green continuous tank and two four-shop day tanks, one amber and one flint.
