The Thomas China Co. at Lisbon, O., are erecting a plant of six kilns for semi-porcelain. This plant which is the model six kiln plant of the country, is now in course of erection, and has for its officers G. W. Thomas, president; J. W. Bock [sic] Boch, vice-president; A. G. Mason, secretary and treasurer, all of East Liverpool. W. F. Keats, at present with the Wheeling Pottery Co., is to be general manager. The firm will manufacture a high grade of general ware; the factory will be complete with the most modern machinery and will be lighted throughout with electricity. The capital stock is $100,000 and has all been subscribed for by the gentlemen named. It is hoped to have the factory ready for operation by September. |
