IN SOCIETY

One of the most delightful entertainments of the week was the reception tendered Rev. and Mrs. Charles Daniel Friday evening by the Ladies Aid Society of the First Baptist Church at the church. Mesdames Frank Cross, Florence Bruce Semple, Stowe Reno, and Hugh Colville presided at a beautifully appointed table. Mesdames Henry Bruce, Anna Hastings, Edward Abbett, W. W. Hinton, John Metcalfe J. B. Coombs, J. A. Downard, Misses Lucy Williams, Sarah and Laura Creaghead, Irene Kirtley, Louise and Edith Orr, Elizabeth Singleton, Anna Abbett, Dora Hall, Sallie Hall, Nannie Hobbs, and many others assisted in extending the courtesies of the evening to several hundred guests.
